Spotlight on Debra Webb The Faces of Evil #7 Vicious "Debra Webb is a master storyteller." ~~ Allison Brennan Available in paperback or e-book only on Amazon! Buy on Kindle | Paperback "Best series of 2013!" ~~ Amazon Reviewer Serial killer Eric Spears is far from done. He has chosen his next victim and Deputy Chief Jess Harris knows it's only a matter of time until he comes for her. The murders are vicious, the killer relentless. Has Birmingham's major crimes team run into its most baffling and deadly case yet? "A must read!" ~~ Bitch Can Write a Book Excerpt "The age of our fathers, which was worse than that of our ancestors, produced us, who are about to raise a progeny more vicious than ourselves." ~Horace Chapter 1 Monday, August 23, 1:00 a.m. "Do you know who I am?" His guest moved her head side to side in swift, frantic little shakes. Her dark eyes were round with fear and every desperate breath echoed that same fear in the quiet room. Satisfaction made him smile. She was unaware of his name or his reputation, yet she instinctively understood that her life as she knew it was at an end. Rory Stinnett was going to die. How fortunate she was to be the first chosen to join him in this final round of the game. Before the last ounce of life drained from her, she would know the name Eric Spears intimately. And he would know every sweet, luscious part of her, inside and out. This one was truly beautiful. Long, silky hair as black as the deepest part of the night. He traced the length of her throat with his eyes. She shivered as if he'd stroked his fingers there. Her extraordinarily sculpted body lay naked before him. The restraints at her wrists, waist, and ankles, chaffed her smooth, tanned skin. His gaze lingered on her breasts, nipples erect from the low temperature in the room or from the terror coursing through her veins, either way they begged for attention. Anticipation stirred inside him. Not yet, it wasn't time to play. Her role in the game was immensely important, far more so than she could possibly comprehend. "You will know me in time." His promise prompted another delicious shiver of her exquisite body. "But not until the perfect moment," he explained. "Not until the others are here." Not until she was here. His body tightened with excitement as the image of the guest of honor for the upcoming coup de grĂ¢ce filled his mind. Once Jess was here, the final game would begin. He could hardly wait. Vicious (Faces of Evil, #7) by Debra Webb (Goodreads Author) I would have to say that this series has a lot of twist and turns. You think you figure things out, than the author throws in a monkey wrench. Debra Webb, has done it once again, where she keep you the reading involved with these characters. After reading silence the prequel of this series, The Faces of Evil, I am starting to feel that some of the villains in this series have very similar trace or they one in the same? What is it about cages? While Jess is investing a series of abduction, she is starting to believe that this is the work of Eric Spears. But there are pieces that she has yet to put together. In the meantime Eric Spears has other plans for Jess. This means that you are going to have to get the book to start riding on the roller coaster…. See you at the end of this ride!

SILENCE-PREQUEL DEBRA WEBB I really like it when an author does a Prequel, because you get to go back to the beginning of where the story started. Silence, gives you the back story about the main character Jess and Dan in the Faces of Evil, series. Jess is what you would say is a workaholic. She never takes time off, if anyone was to know in the eight years, she probably only had a day off here and there. Now that she is in a new unit –Behavioral Analysis Unit her new boss told her that his people need to take their downtime more seriously. But before we get to Jess and Dan, she was ask to work a case call the ZIP CODE KILLER, because she is now a profiler. Her new boss Supervisory Special Agent Grant, asked her to take a look at this case… this is a very interesting case, and Jess felt that she could handle this case, so she work the case… at the last minute she decided to go to her sister for Christmas. Jess, had promise her sister that she would bring the desert. This means that she had to make a stop at a store to pick up the desert. While shopping at the Publix, she runs into her ex- boyfriend that she hasn't seen in ten years. I will leave you to read the rest of the story yourself. I would definitely read this book because you will have the back story of these two characters Jess Harris and Dan Burnett and continue to follow them in their future adventures in the series The Faces of Evil.

BOOK REVIEW ON - "ALWAYS ON MY MIND"

JILL SHALVIS This is book number 8 of Lucky Harbor series, this story is about two people Leah and Jack. Jack was someone that Leah confines into because of her father. Leah had a father that told her constantly that she would never amount to anything, and she never would finish anything that she started. When you are told this every day of your life you will never be anything or that you are good enough, that keeps you spirit down. Leah is back in town to help out her grandmother at her bakery while she is recovering from knee surgery. I have to stop here and now, because if I don’t I will give away the story, and the ending. So what I would love for you to do is to get the book, and read the story for yourself. What I love about Jill Shalvis is the fact that she brings you inside of each of her characters lives. Jill has a way that draws you to each one of her character, where you either loved them or you hate them, or you just can’t decide just how you feel about them. What I have been enjoying when reading Jill books is they have some strong emotion, tears, and smiles, and part where you just laugh out loud and also some suspense. Jill did something great in this story line she includes Kevin, a goofy Great Dane that adds warmth and humor to this story. If you like any of these things in a story then you need to read this one. I received this book as an ARC as part of Jill's Bookaholics.

BOOK REVIEW ON RUTHLESS

Debra Webb continues to keep us the reader involved in the story. Especially in book 6th she is dealing with several series cases, one is an old- cold case “The Man in the Moon,” which is a very old cold case. The other one is with Eric Spears, who seem to not go away, and now both cases are at the forefront of her cases. If you enjoy suspense with romantic then you have pick the right book. For me I so enjoy the element in trying to figure out the how, and the why, and the when. Debra Webb is just that type of writer, because she keeps you on the edge of your seat, thinking you know the fact, and then she has to add more twist and turns to the story. Her books are like a roller coaster that has the thriller aspects, and you will enjoy the ride. You need to get this book now!!! If you haven’t read this series you need to pick them up today!!!

(This is My Review of this book)- Revenge: The Faces of Evil Series: Book 5 (Mass Market Paperback) This is the fifth book of her series the Faces of Evil-Revenge. Here is some fact about the main characters that you need to get to know. Dan Burnett is Chief of the Birmingham Police Department, and Jess Harris, the Department's Deputy Chief of the Special Problems Unit. Dan and Jess were lovers twenty years ago. Jess, is a former FBI profiler, who has returned home to Birmingham following a botched case involving serial killer. Fast forward Dan is now Jess boss, and they have rekindled their love for each other. Let me say there a sufficient amount of deceit and, betrayal, and unknown killers, with a lot twist and turns so that you can't put this book down to the very end. Debra writes books that will keep you sitting on the edge of your seat until the very end. One more thing I will have to say is that you need to start from book one of this series so that you will be in the know of what is going on. Because let me tell you something the next book in this series will be out on August 27, and it is call Ruthless. Yes, I am recommend this series, because you will not be able to put it down, and let me tell you I can't wait until the next book to comes out.

MARY GRAMLICH, The Reading Reviewer: REVENGE by Debra Webb

MARY GRAMLICH, The Reading Reviewer: REVENGE by Debra Webb
REVENGE by Debra Webb Is every act of violence driven by something? Jess Harris is a Deputy Chief fighting off a stalking serial killer, attempting to get her new team on the same page, establish the whereabouts of a fellow office that tried to kill her, and figure out why her hair dryer keeps blowing a fuse. The additional complication is the rekindled romance that she is having with her boss Chief Dan Burnett, a man that can stop the rhythm of her heart just by hearing his voice. Trying to maintain rules and regulations when the heat is this strong is very difficult even for a kick butt woman who has convinced herself she does not need anyone taking care of her. This day finds Jess helping her former teacher not be convicted of murdering the man who ran her retirement home. Being a good businessman meant stepping on many toes but it should not mean getting your head bashed in, or so one would think. When a second victim is discovered and the pattern is repeated Jess knows something wicked is going on and believes the chain of effects happening now was created years ago by a group of teenagers with more money than good sense. When you are young and invincible you never think the terror you inflict on another would become your destiny. As the days move on, the violence increases, and more clues reveal themselves a deeper web of confusion around who really is the killer. Was this one of the supposed all together to the bitter end friends or a ghost from the past? The question becomes why now after all these years would the tables turn and the tormentor become the victim. If Jess can figure all this out and try just once to follow a direct order from her boss and lover it might just be a good day. This book is so mesmerizing that you will not let your put it down until it is completely finished and then wait anxiously for the next one in the series.

Jill Shalvis

IT HAD TO BE YOU

This was such a fantastic read and everything that I come to expect from Jill Shalvis is in this book. When I started reading her I stated the series with, “Simply Irresistible,” which was the first book in the series. If you haven’t read any of Jill’s books you should. If you are looking for a book that will make you cry, and laugh out loud. Than I have the book for you.  It start out with Ali Winters, she is one of the main characters, which from the start is having boyfriend problems, and then things go downhill from there. Then you get to meet Luke Hanover, who is taking sometime away for his job as a cop to return to his hometown. As time goes on you realize that these two people will somehow run into each other. I am going to stop before I give away any spoiler. One of my best suggestions is for you to pick this book up, because you will not want to put it down.

MY BOOK REVIEW OF BOOKS I HAVE READ

RAGE

Rage is the next book in the Faces of Evil series. I have been reading Debra Webb, for a while. She writes the most suspenseful books, and you will find yourself wanting to know what will happen in the next book. The two main characters (Jess Harris-Dan Burnett) in this story will keep you on pins, and needle, wondering what is happen between them, and what dangers that will come around the next bend for them. This is number four, in this series, and more to come. But if you haven't read Debra Webb, before than you need to start to now. She is an author who I have come to enjoy reading her books, because there are so many twists and turns in her books, so that you can't put it down. That is what happens to me, now I can't wait for the next book in this series.
